What is the state of steel disc brake road bikes in 2019?

I've got the hankering for a new (if not new to me) steel disc road bike. I dont want an adventure bike, or a grazzle bike.... I dont want 26 warts for attaching 13 different bags and 6 water bottles so that I can load 50 lbs of **** onto the bike which means the frame tubing was borrowed from the gas pipe warehouse so that it rides like a dump truck unloaded. I dont want sliding dropouts or 12 foot long chainstays, future (or past) shocks or motors. But I would like disc brakes, 75-80mm of BB drop, and room for 28mm tires.

What options are out there new, off the shelf, i.e. not from a custom builder? Right now the only thing I can find is that the Ritchey Road Logic will get disc brakes for next year's bike and be available sometime this fall. The All City bikes are out there but the geo is really goofy - like old school yuro BB CX bike height and 440mm chainstays.

You may now buy a Gunnar Roadie or Sport Disc.

I think your options will be rather limited for stock bikes.

stock bikes are made out of gaspipe because they are afraid of passing the required testing for the EU, not because of the braze ons. Seems like there are some stock 853 bikes out there that might be nice, but I don't have the models off the top of my head.

Oh and depending on how much coin.. you can probably find a Peg dealer who may have something in stock sizes like Above Category, Summer Cycles or perhaps one that is more local to you.
Colnago or Peg Disc?

Not off the shelf, not sure I know of one right now, but Rodriguez in Seattle does light steel disc bikes and turnaround is fast. Would be loads better than anything mass produced for people from 100-250 pounds.
