Mounting a light with an Outershell drawstring handlebar bag in the way

I got one of these and I love it:

https://outershell.com/shop/handlebar-bag

So easy to grab your stuff and very stable off-road. It does seem a bit like it was designed for wide trail bars. With drop bars, in my case 44cm Salsa Carbon Cowbells, there is really no bar real estate for anything else. Even had to move my spurcycle bell to the drops, which isn’t my favorite spot for it.

Anyone managed to figure out a light mounting solution when using this bag? Do I need to switch to some of the newer crazy wide drop bars to get my real estate back?

there are a bunch of mounts like the one below that give you some additional real estate above your bar, which might work for you.

otherwise how about a fork crown mount or paul gino type mount?

I ran into the same problem with my Ruthworks Brevet bag. Couple options I've experimented with:

Use this mount behind the front brake caliper: https://www.amazon.com/Rixen-Kaul-Li.../dp/B00INTRNN2

Use this mount to raise the light above the bag:

Good luck

Which fork are you running? You could try mounting the lights somewhere else using a Paul Gino mount (edit: just saw this was mentioned above!):

The Gino is super versatile depending on your beam pattern / visual tolerance.

Check out that link above for ideas.

A riding buddy even made an axle washer / bracket type of thing for his racy carbon fork.
