Yeah, I thought they'd work together enough to at least hold off the pack, but obviously I was wrong. The mens 2019 Amstel was similar.

totally perplexing. Not a huge fan of LB, but not taking a single pull? Why put in the effort to go with the move and then refuse to work. Who was she covering for...no one. Brand and WInder were a minute back. Her statement afterward sounded like she was politely covering for bad decisions/instructions from the DS. Ugh.

Her DSes are two former sprinters. Go figure...

At some point, you've got to ask yourself, "Which is better 2nd or 8th?"
Neither one should have stopped pedaling. Both could have had a podium. That was super weird.

From 30km on, I looked at Marianne Vos doing nothing but hiding, and I thought, "She's isolated. She needs the pack to bring it back together." No one was going to beat her in a head to head sprint**. She got lucky that the pack did just that.
