Don't recall seeing an MXL pista before, https://www.ebay.com/itm/143734567920
"Frame is stamped D1149 on the left handside and L on the right side". Bottom bracket different than you normally see.

I've seen a few. Everyone but one I've seen had a flat crown. That had the regular Max blades.

greetings all

I'm in the hunt of EM corsa extra, and I found this corsa extra with 90s production colorway (most likely). wanna make sure the frame is Corsa Extra and the tubing is Columbus SLX. The frame also has headtube cable guide. Greatly appreciate if anyone can help decipher the bb shell code, its L C9175 (pictures attached).

thanks in advance!

93 colorway i guess?

How about this MXL? Any idea of provenance? Serial number, best I can tell, is: G over 5952. First and last numbers are best guesses. The 5 and 9 digits in the middle are clear to see.

G Series = 1996-1998
G5952 = mid 1997
Frame parts, paint pattern, decals - everything matches

Thanks, Emerxil.

The white frame has been repainted, so decals and font style aren't original. My understanding is that original color was some sort of purple.

Someone made a great effort, frame restored 10/10
A lot of money was paid additionally for painting in "team pattern" - this is the "economy" version, one color.

I see the Y designation - unfortunately this is the guy who annoys me, because often his designations are incomplete

Okay, here is a new project that I just acquired.
Thanks for clearing up the cable guide mystery, I found the plastic bolt in guide for this. Trying to figure out the year on this one.
A friend thinks it's a respray.. I'm not so sure.
Crappy pics from the seller, my apologies.

Frame built in early 1984 (Professional Columbus SL).
EMC started experimenting with a 2 color paint job right around this time.... I wouldn't change it (I haven't seen it before), the decals look original (or were matched correctly)
If possible check card and markings on steering tube - if it survived

Version 3 from 1992, definitely repainted, used poor non-original stickers

Interesting

I then think its likely a crescent in original paint and then someone wanted the merckx stickers instead at a later point. Here (sweden) they bought quite a few merckx and rebranded them with their own name.
