Cherubim Cento

I’ve been waiting for this one for quite a while and was lusting for a Cherubim for many, many years now.

With a lot of luck and some hard work I managed to get to a position where I can afford the things I’ve always wanted. In summer 2021 I asked Blacksmith if Cherubim was still offering the Cento and Mike told me he would inquire. Months went by and I wrote the idea off since the Cento tubeset was released in 2019 and likely no longer available. Near the end of 2021 we finally hear back, they had one more set of medium sized tubes that would suit my geometry. I placed my order and waited patiently.

Fast forward to this week, Blacksmith finally received the completed frame set.

Below picture is from the Blacksmith Instagram, I’m hoping I will have some time to go see it in person, take some more pictures and think about how it should be built up. Excitement would be an understatement to how I feel right now because the color scheme is even better than what I initially conceptualized it to be.

Cent oh my!

So cool to see more Cherubim’s popping up here after a long wait for most. I love what they do with the cento model, especially the seat tube junction, x brace and the rear brake mount area. Looking forward to seeing this one done up

Congrats.

Is this staying in Toronto?

That's spectacular, you're right to be excited! Looking forward to seeing more. I don't see any shift cable management - is this going eTap?

Just saw it. The gold speck over the green is a subtle touch of depth to the paint and look of bike.

Congrats! She’s a beauty. Saw it earlier today and I can’t wait to see it all built up.

Very Nice, lovely details on the Cento tube set, and Cherubim always builds a beautiful frame

I didn’t realize there were this many Paceliners that are from the Toronto area. Yes this bike will be staying local. Mike at Blacksmith was telling me they did a few Centos with Cherubim and most went straight to their owners elsewhere so this is one of the few that actually arrived at the shop.

I’m still undecided on many of the components but it will be Ultegra R8100. I was going to go with a Pro Vibe cockpit but the stem doesn’t seem to have a computer mount option. Some other options were Zipp or Deda, both of which have stems that fit computer mounts. Does any one have other recommendations?

Also a selection of pictures I took today. My favorite part of the bike is definitely the seat cluster.

Is the Columbus tubing proprietary to the bike builder? Absolutely stunning bike. The cream and green combo accented by the gold and chrome is just beautiful.

The cream and gold combo is killer. Great looking frameset. Can’t wait to see what it looks like built up.
