The Poggio PR21 Disc
I just went through the process with the folks at The Poggio and it has been a great experience. Super-responsive to emails and good timeline...exactly 3 months from approval of geometry to receipt of frame.
I went with a custom-geo PR21 Disc road frame with Di2 routing and upgraded to Cerakote. Geo is close to their standard 54, but I stretched the top tube and head tube each by 1cm (I'm always between a 54 and 56 in stock bikes), added 5mm to the chainstay to make room for a little bit more tire, and dropped the BB a few mm. The color is It's A Boy blue with FX Typhoon topcoat. Basically baby blue, but with a hint of blue sparkle up close. I've started the build process and plan on posting some finished pics, but they were nice enough to send me a handful of hi-res photos, so here's a teaser: |

Congrats! great project, good looking frame and great feedback re the folks at Poggio. They seem very passionate about what they doing. Is it welded in Italy correct? Care to expand a bit on tubing choice?

Correct, welded in Italy. As far as I know they use Dedacciai Aegis tubing for all their alloy frames. I didn't give any preference for tubing type, I just told them the type of riding I'd be using it for and let them do their thing.

I hope so! Plan is for this to be my crit/race/fast group ride bike.
I made the adjustments for a bit larger tires in case I do want to soften things up just a bit. I dry-fit some wheels and the tires measure out at 31mm and they fit pretty comfortably. |

How long until a similar bike shows up in It's A Girl pink shows up at your house?

I'm sure it won't be long before that temptation starts creeping in...

Here's a quick snap of it in off-season form. Temporarily built up as 1x as I await a different power meter. Built up to 16.5 pounds without use of weight-weenie parts, will go up a touch with the PM and front derailleur, but not much. Pretty good for an aluminum frame with a disc build.

Thanks! Definitely very nondescript. The only branding on the frame is the small headtube badge and a decal on the downtube near the seattube junction.
