Legor Nuiorksiti+ Road

This is the model that I rode in Girona that made me fall in love with Legor bikes. After meeting with Mattia in his Barcelona workshop, I placed a deposit and began to wait.. Thankfully, I was able to order parts for the build prior to the pandemic. For me, nothing beats a rim brake, mechanical shifting road bike. I love the simplicity, the lines and the purity of it.

Frame: 55/56 Legor Nuiorksiti+ Road (oversized Columbus tubing, 44mm headtube)
Fork: Enve Road
Wheels: Easton R90 custom build with CK Matte Bourbon hubs
Tires: Hutchinson Fusion 5 700x25, tubeless
Skewers: Zipp Tangente stainless
Groupset: Ultegra R8000 mechanical, 50/34, 11-30
BB: CK T47 Matte Bourbon
Pedals: Ultegra R8000
Seatpost: Enve 27.2, 25mm setback
Bar: Enve Road, 42cm
Stem: Enve Road, 110mm
Tape: Fizik Tempo Bondcush 3mm Soft
Clamp: Thomson 31.8
Saddle: Selle SMP Dynamic, steel rails
Cages: King Cage Stainless

I don't have a Bike CAD, so I don't know the specifics on geometry, but Mattia nailed it. This bike encouraged me to ride with more saddle to bar drop (7.5 cm) and reach than I was used to, but I quickly adapted, and could see myself going lower in the future.

The ride is what you would expect from a modern steel bike. Just an absolute pleasure. Running a road tubeless setup at 80 psi rear/75 front also helps. The T47 bb is great - no flex, no creaks, and the bike really jumps when you put the power down. The handling is direct, with quick responses. I see many happy miles in the future.

Very nice bike. Classically understated and finished well. Gotta love the Chris King hub color selection. Looks like a beautiful area in which to ride as well.

Ride safe and stay healthy.

Thank you! Very happy with the hubs/BB color - just enough pop to make things interesting. They don't call West Virginia the mountain state for nothing. This is from one of my favorite climbs that gains around 1,400 feet in just over three miles.

Echoing others, great, classy choices - nothing to take away from the lines of the frame. Do you know if Legor offer internal routing? Noticed most of their showcased bikes are external

Thank you! I do not know about the routing, but from what I have seen, most of his bikes have externally routed rear brake cabling on the top tube for mechanical, and on the downtube/chainstay for hydro disc. (The latter may have something to do with clearance inside the T47BB shell.)

Hi, the head tube is 1” 1/8’? Or is it bigger?
If it is 1 and 1/8 Why didn’t you go for a Falz fork? I know that Legor use it.
Is the tube set Columbus spirit?
Tks

It has a 1 1/8'' steerer. I'm sure a Falz fork would have been nice, but I have not seen a Legor with one, despite his tutelage under Dario. Mattia is pretty closely aligned with ENVE, and he tends to recommend their components across the board.

I'm sorry - I know it's Columbus, but not sure if it's a spirit tubeset. I did not ask.

Long term review

Any updates on the bike?
Curious--did you consider Porreca vs your model? Any significant difference between the two when you were choosing your frame?

What's the widest tire you can fit with your fork? Heard the Falz can fit fairly wide tires.

I'm still loving the bike - it has not disappointed me in any aspect. Great road feel and stiffness under power, very well balanced and as fast as you want it to be.

Mattia's fitting philosophy has me more stretched out than what I was used to, but after a couple of years of ownership, I have adapted to the position, and have found myself wanting to duplicate it on my other road and gravel bikes.

FWIW, I did not see him in person for the fitting - he had me send some measurements from my existing bikes, and some video of me riding rollers from the side. He took it from there.

I did not consider the Porreca road, since I wanted an integrated headset, and since I rode this model in Girona. I also prefer these dropouts to the hooded dropouts on the Porreca.

The front tire clearance is likely only a 25, or maybe a 28. This is dictated by ENVE's road fork clearance. The rear could fit a wider tire, but I have not attempted it, since I am happy with 25's. Mattia could likely accommodate a wider tire request, particularly if the bike was disc equipped, or if you chose a different fork.

What a pretty bike, and please keep it off those gravel roads!

Thank you, both. The gravel was only a turn-around spot after one of my favorite climbs, thank goodness..

Workmanship is incredible. Looking at those beefy dropouts, it is obvious this bike means business. So happy modern steel is gaining momentum. I have six bikes, four of which are steel, two titanium. Each one has a distinctive character.
