Great Find! Framed/Signed Lemond Jersey

Came across this online, I was in communication with him for a while and just couldn't link up to grab it. Time and space finally aligned, I got it for $75. The Jersey needs to be re-mounted, not sure what that will cost but the frame and everything else is in great shape. Signatures look real, but for $75 I'm not too concerned about it.

That’s cool. If there is a decent or better chance that is legit, then you paid an amazing price. It cost me about as much to have a decent poster of him framed. I’ve got a shirt he signed, but I would not pay to have it framed - it’s in some drawer in the basement. Heck, I am not one to care much about signatures or even memorabilia, but if I saw that for 75 bucks, I’d buy it without even thinking twice about it. And when I brought it home, my wife would raise her eyebrows, nod and say, “Yeah, you pretty much had to buy that, I guess. Nice score.”

So yeah, nice score.

Wow, I'm not the jealous type but I'm seriously jealous. I'll unflinchingly pay you twice that if you ever get sick of it.

Very cool. Did the seller say where he got it or any story behind it?

That's really cool - I had Greg sign a Worlds jersey for me at Interbike for me once and he was just so damn nice - it was great!

Then an hour later I ran into Eddy Merckx and he signed the jersey too.

This is super cool!! Damn, that is nice! Enjoy!!!

I've always been a Lemond fan.

Now you need a replica bike to match.

Meanwhile, people are breaking open their Armstrong displays to reuse the frame.

Seller said he received it from a doctor friend who had it hanging in his office, he was older and gave it away just before he was put into a home. The new owner didn't know who Lemond was, surprisingly he was having trouble selling it. When I was finally able to link up with him, he offered to take $75. Wish I knew more of the origin than that.

Done! I picked up the Lemond Commemorative on here a little while back, actually was trying to sell it to grab a Pegoretti but will likely keep it.

Here’s the poster he signed in front of me some years ago

Yep. Just last week I ran across a Livestrong bracelet and an issue of SI with him on the cover I had been saving. They are gone.
