Decided to try 1x out on my drifter today. Threw a new absolute black 44t oval ring on and took it out for a bit.

Blows my mind that I can swap out the tires/wheels/pedals on my "road" bike, throw some packs on and have a bike so dialed for literally any kind of road I'll come across.

What Santa Cruz model is this?

Where is that? Glen Nevis? I was there over ten years ago. Hauntingly beautiful. I'd love to go back.

I've been a road cyclist for more than 4 decades. This was the year I became a gravel cyclist. There's a difference.

Nice . . . that songs matches the vibe of the video. How do you like the Revolt? Seems there’s a good performance to value ratio in that line.

Thanks. I'm liking my Revolt a lot. It's the only gravel bike I've owned so I have nothing to compare it to but I've been very happy with it. Yes, it seemed a good value and it's been for me. I'd do it all over again if I was in the market.

Just picked this up a Vitus (no not that Vitus) Substance, wanted to try out 650 wheels, lots of fun, reasonably light..
