So, easily verify it.

Like I said, you need a lot of luck.
But check out the roller coaster of Uber stock since that article was written. A company that is still bleeding billions.

None of this is relevant. Your proclamation that Armstrong's money is drying up is not supported by reality -- he is still a very wealthy individual.

In reality, it really doesn't matter who you are or what you've done, once you've accumulated wealth on the order of tens of millions, as long as you have a decent measure of self discipline, and a competent wealth manager, it's pretty easy to remain wealthy.

This is a little ironic considering you posted this in a thread about a major network TV show that he is in. I suspect they are paying him for the appearance and I'm quite sure the commercials in the TV show are being paid for.

Well, as I said in my first post, this is where I figured he would wind up, scraping the bottom in a reality TV show, where life is cheap.

Where he was probably paid a few hundred thousand for a few weeks work.

If he has net worth of $50M he has zero need to work.
Give me a break. He just does stuff for fun. Barely 1% return on investments puts your capital gains into 1%er territory and you could structure it to be mostly capital gains and very little ordinary income. |

No kidding..he could trundle down to the First Bank in Aspen, throw some $ at a CD and make $million$ in a short amount of time. LA7 is a prick but he's still a wealthy prick.

And 1% return would be gross incompetence!

Instead he invested in Chris Sacca's Lower Case Fund. Chris Sacca was the VC guy at Google in the early 2000's. So he was probably one of these guys in the rolodex for early seed money. If you look at his track record, the guy invested in Uber, Twitter, Twilio, Slack, Stripe, just to name a few. Regardless of what you think, Lance is just one of this driven people that wants to win. Whether it was sports or money. I assume his fame in the early 2000's just got him access to all sorts of successful people. Now, add his aggressiveness and he will monetize those connections. You can hate Lance, but he is one of those people who will be out there busting his ass trying to make a buck. ( I never got the Lance hate. He wasn't the first doper, and he wasn't the last doper. He was just better at it. More efficient..... Until maybe Team Sky came around or Nike Oregon Project with Salazar) |

Most of the disdain for LA is not because of doping, but because of how he tried to destroy other people in an attempt to protect his image.

Well, as I heard many times during the 08 crash, it's better to make 1% than lose 25.
