Anyone using the F3 FormMount?

It looks pretty reasonable. I love the idea of keeping junk off my bars. Would love to hear Pacelines’ opinions. This thing:

I love the thing. I have it on 4 bikes. Much cleaner. It is a bit of a PITA to put on as the arms don’t stay aligned well when you torque the bolts on the stem....get the bridge tool they have for cheap which solves that problem. Also, doesn’t work on odd stems like the Ritchey’s that are 220. But works on the rest of my motley stable.

I only use it for Garmin’s not lights or Go Pros...just the original computer/gps holder. It works great for that.

Have one. A bit difficult to keep the mount level when tightening the stem bolts.

I prefer the Barfly (for Fizik and some other stems) or Easton (same concept) stem mounts as they do not rely on stem bolts for attachment.

The others' said it correctly: Finicky to set up, but wonderful once you do. They're surprisingly expensive for what they are. I got mine back when the Kickstarter campaign made them more affordable.

I too have the KS version but I think the recent retail versions now have a little jig that helps to keep them level which would have been great. Otherwise I think the mounts been great, but aren't the prettiest things to look at.

I think I'll probably break down and buy one of these here soon.

Yes, as noted above, that little jig is called the bridge tool which is 9 bucks and it fixes the issue for those of us that have trouble keeping things in line.

what a time to be alive. over 110 euros for a garmin mount holy crap.

I had the F3 FormMount and I thought was meh. A pain to setup and on my gravel setup I hit a hard bump and my bars slipped. I would totally be fine using it on my road bike but from that experience on my gravel bike its a nope. I have to say, I don't like messing with my stem bolts, rather have them do what they are suppose to do which is hold the stem instead of holding stem and my gps and my go pro and my light and a microwave and...

I will stick with my k-edge or my amazon $20 alum mounts which work oh so well.

Also the fact that they are selling you a $9 piece to mount this stupid thing is kind of a slap in the face

Way over priced and too difficult to get things level.

Good looking and over complicated. Like me.

I had one and sold it almost immediatedly.

What stem are you using?

If it fits your stem bolt pattern (27mm), look at the iTiger from Most.

I’m using a deda superzero stem and just a simple SRAM out front mount. It’s not terrible, but it could look better. I love the enve stem Mount. The carbonworks Mount is ridiculous, but looks cool. Makes the F3 look like a deal even though it’s $70 for a computer mount. As much as I like riding with a computer, I still think that computers on bikes are eye-sores.
