I hope to make it back this spring to really explore the area more. I had 3 hours so Potash was a great way to begin. Especially after 1,000 miles of driving the day before. My legs were not there.

As a result, Strava and RideWithGPS don't allow you to map the full route.

There is a road partway up Las Flores (Hume) that connects to Rambla and lots of people do that route as a way to break up the LF climb, but very few people start on Rambla then cut over on Hume to LF. How many? On Strava, exactly 11, which is why I'm in the top 10 (in fact, #2 after yesterday, a scant 15 seconds from the KOM). If I gave a crap about top 10s I would keep this to myself, but I don't.

Cool. Ya. I’ve tiptoed my way through there once. Fun scooting around!

Yup. Still jealous.

Riding up to see the sunrise with the host of The Gravel Ride podcast, Craig D.

I highly recommend giving him a listen if gravel biking is your thing or you are interested in learning more about it.

I posted this on my bike build thread for posterity but thought I might share it here... this photo was from last weekend at a local stage race I had focused on and thought I would have a chance at doing something on GC.

Made a miscalculation on how drastically a TTT would affect the GC - a pancake flat 15km out and back thing with full TT allowed.

Suffice to say our team was on road bikes... Despite some really good power we dropped 2 minutes on the first stage, clawed 1:30 back and managed 4th on GC and a couple of stage podiums.

This photo shows me dying up a hillclimb TT for the final stage.

Hit 46 degrees yesterday, so I lucked out and got to ride my bike for an hour!

I dont know why I like looking at these pictures so much. Some are dreamy and others plain. But I do.

Nice

Back in the mid 80's someone tried to teach me to surf there (I believe) and half way through the instruction they mentioned sharks.

Me no like sharks.

Great place to ride a bike though!
