Took a 2 hour drive down to the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge in Cambridge MD. I thought it might be nice to ride some flat roads for a change. Boy was I wrong! 60 miles of dead flat roads gets really boring and the scenery was only nice for a short section. It seemed I had head winds no matter which direction I went. It ended up feeling like a long ride on the rollers.

Post-ride scrubbadub for the Lauf made the Firefly look relatively dingy, so I washed that one too.

Now that shoes, cleats and a fresh supply of Vittoria Pitstop have arrived I gave my 1990 Peugeot a 60km maiden trip. Very pleased with how it handles so I guess 2019 will be my retro season...

Those last two are some beautiful old school rides. Love the paint.

Detroit

Hey Wally, what's it like riding in downtown Detroit? Only been there to visit Lion's, Tiger's and Wings games. Seems like it would be scary to say the least.

Went out for a nice ride on the C50 yesterday. It's tourist season in Cooperstown and had a couple of odd experiences with drivers on my return home, but it was a beautiful day!

Picked it up from Justin(huckthis) after the Minnewaska ride last Saturday. I wanted to try out a Colnago to see what the fuss was about. Helped that it came equipped with SR 11 and some Shamal Ultras setup tubeless.

It's an excellent all around road bike. Really does everything quite well. Very happy with it so far!

Birthday rides

Not sure who started it but whenever someone is having a birthday, we will celebrate by riding the distance of their age and with this group of old farts, we might as well be riding RAAM.

One guy turned 65 and the other, 68.
