They're both 584 BSD.
I hate bike wheel sizes... 27" is bigger than 27.5" 28" is smaller than 27" 29" is the same size as 28"... Seriously! Who comes up with this stuff! Don't get me started on "C" for tire widths! Sent from my moto x4 using Tapatalk

No, those sizes refer to the general diameter of the installed tire, not the BSD. Yeah, it's antiquated and there are lots of exceptions, but it's not wholly inaccurate either. All modern tires have ETRTO dimensions on them anyway so it's really a non-issue.

Give the WTB Horizon 47c tire a shot. I have them on my neighborhood bike and I think they are a great road tire that rides really nicely.

The Sheldon Brown website is my go-to for this sort of thing. While the 650b nomenclature has been around a long time, I think the 27.5” designation is recent. On the SB site It is referred to as a “marketing term” for 650b. Same thing re 29” for 700c https://www.sheldonbrown.com/tire-sizing.html |
