WR Compositi
I need a new seat post in a 29.4 which is an odd size. I know I can get a Thomson or a Bold, but I was looking at the carbon fiber WR Compsiti one. Any thoughts on that brand? I was also looking at their stem which looked nice too.
Thx. |

It takes a bit to get the saddle adjusted just right, but once you get it set up, its totally set-and-forget. No slipping or adjusting needed.

Order through CicliCorsa or bikeonline.it and you can select finish (gloss or matte); graphics (white, stealth, or none); hardware ano color (silver, black, blue, red, gold). . |

Most folks who’ve had a Peg have had a WR. Nice post. Adjustment can be fiddly but as was said, once done, just ride and enjoy.

2) set up is finicky 3) 3k weave is so.....2005 => buy a shim and use the 27.2 that you like |

I've got two of their RS posts. The clamp is similar to the PMP clamp. I don't know for sure but if you compare the WR compositi to the Colnago posts that came on C40s and C50s they look identical.
Through Cicli Corsa you can not only get it finished however you want but you can also get custom lengths. Good enough for Dario - good enough for me. |

Exactly. A Pegoretti BLE, with that Emma tubeset, definitely deserves a WR 29.4; it looks and fits so much better than a shimmed 27.2 solution. . |

buddy of mine who is "in the business" regards the company highly. They do parts for Ferrari and other F1 teams, so they should know their stuff.

Nice! I have one of their stems to match shirt to socks - it's solid kit. Also they are quite heavy.

The WR Compositi posts use the old Selcof design for the head. With the demise of Selcof, I have no idea who owns the rights, but it's a great design. Just a word of caution on the setup, which can be a little fiddley. As you tighten down the saddle, be careful to use the front bolt to set the angle and use the rear bolt to obtain the final desired torque. The tightening of the rear will change the angle, so there will be a bit of repetition, but with a small amount of patience you'll get the result. Avoid the temptation to make any adjustments of the front bolt with the rear bolt tight. Once set, I find this design to be the most secure, second only (by a VERY slight margin) to the old Campy two bolt design....

I always thought when looking at his massive stays and seat tube diameters: Dario is paying attention and knows what´s going on. The Yo Eddy is the iconic hand made steel hardtail of the 1990s. All fat quad butted tubing and perfect handling. Dario must have noticed and that´s cool of him. |
