SPD....Crocs....really?

One thing I found with the Shimano sandals was the late release when you twist since sandals aren't usually as tight a fit as shoes.

I would think you'd be rotating your foot like 90 degrees before you can get the cleat to twist out with these.

I think there must be a 1:1 correspondence between those that own these shoes and those that ride Rivendells.

Yeah that's weird. I have a pair of the discontinued SPD Keens which are good for commuting or taking my kids to school and the like because they are very easy to walk in. But those actually have pretty good support and stiffness. Crocs?

I have always hated these shoes, and find myself owning a pair as of a few months ago. I have a resurgence of Plantar Fasciitis, and theyre so cushy that theyre helping.

My kids are disgusted with me but I reminded them about how theyre in vogue on Parisian runways as of late!

As for Crocs SPDs, I cant figure that one out.

They have been modified to be more stiff.

I went to order them a few days ago but decided to pass on the €666 price tag.

I ride a Rivendell and I don't own SPD's or Crocs. I also ride a Goodrich, Trek, Specialized, Bridgestone and Rawland. All of which are equiped with MKS Touring pedals, toe clips and straps so in case I buy a pair of Crocs.

These will be perfect for frame painter Joey Cosgrove…. He is commonly seen riding around south Brisbane Australia in his crocs as Dazza can attest
