I was a pretty die hard threaded bb person too until we started using the Wheels thread together inserts for customers.

Those Time frames use BB386 EVO and I just installed two of those on my wife's and my Pivot Vaults. I think that's a great system with the threaded inserts. Both of my installs were perfect and I'm sure Time has a good handle on making their molds.

Once installed they need not be taken out. If bearings get contaminated, you can pull them out and press in new ones without shell removal. I like the angular contact bearings for BB's, worth the slight increase in $.

did any of you actually pose questions

as per the OP link to Facebook? I don't use FB so am curious, or were folks above not paying attention that the questions needed to be in the FB comments section?

Yeah, or we could just not buy press-fit frames until all the manufacturers go back to threaded. That's been my system for the last twenty years and it seems to be working! You can all thank me later.
