I haven't seen anyone mention the Cabe yet. Best source I know of for info on these style of bikes.

Have fun with this one, looking forward to seeing what you do with it.

Have fun - it looks like a neat project.
I get ya, and i would keep it all original, but the wheels are not just rusted but more rotted from what I remember(dont have the bike in front of me right now), so I would need to either acquire more modern wheels and replace the chain+crankset OR replace the wheels with another old set of steelies with a skip tooth.

d'oh! I just realized the modern Felt cruiser i bought with the 2-speed kickback wheels are actually "28 inch"/700c. Guess those will stay on the Felt.

Will start looking into other 26" options!

How attached are you to the fenders? Might fit 700 without them.

26" 559 gives you many options. then theres brakes. is the fork drilled for a brake or even have an area that can be drilled? does the rear have a brake bridge or is the fender mounted underneath? if not, a coaster brake is your only option

I would just build up a set of wheels myself as ive done it before many times but ive always had someone help me figure out spoke length. That has always been something i could never ever figure out... maybe @oldpotatoe can give me his secret
