Franco bikes

Anyone have info or experience with the carbon framed bikes? I’ve never heard of them before, and one popped locally for sale.

I remember reading reviews for Franco bikes in Road Bike Action magazine (one model name was the Balcom, but I think they reviewed others), and the mag was very positive on them.

That seems to be all that exists really.

They've actually been around for a long time in the NorCal scene. They sponsored a road team that I raced against frequently over the years and looked just fine. I'm sure they're simply an open mould frameset that they buy in quantities and tweak to their specs, but I wouldn't shy away from them more than any other overseas made frame these days.

I have no first-hand knowledge, but a few people in my club in SoCal have their road and gravel bikes. They look quite nice, and I have not heard anything negative about them.

Looks like it might be the Yoeleo G21 with a different fork spec?

It’s hard to tell as neither have many pictures. Edit: the drop outs look different and the seatstay bridge is kind of unique.

From LinkedIn, which seems out of date.

Our bikes are manufactured across the globe in what we have determined is the best place for the respective material. Our Latigo is made one at at time, and is available with custom geometry, in Northern Italy. Our steel all-road bike, Grimes, is made in California, and our forthcoming line up titanium bikes is also made right here, in the United States of America.

My friend races on Franco bikes. He likes them and hasn't had any issues.

There's no answering this really... There are Franco paint jobs but not really Franco Bikes

They get them from different sources and those sources have been (substantially) different quality levels over time.

Some have been pretty damn nice. Others...
