Recommended Rear Pulley Derailleur Cage Replacement

Hello,

I have a Shimano Dura-Ace RD-7900 10 speed groupset mounted on my bike. Unfortunately, the one of the plates onto which the pulley wheels are mounted broke.

I can either get a used rear derailleur on ebay for ~$150 or I've seen some cheapo Chinese manufactured carbon fiber, anodized cages which look a little over the top: https://www.ebay.com/itm/292190039814.

What do people here recommend?

Thanks!

Gio

I've ordered just the inner cage plate for several Shimano derailers if that's what you need, and they are really cheap as in about $15 depending if steel or alloy.

The Dura-Ace cage parts should be available, not sure though on their pricing.

Which plate is damaged?

Shimano USA has around 30 7900 inner plates in stock at the moment, should cost you thru your lbs around $76

Part number is Y5X098130

They either

A) Failed so often that they mad a ton of them and these are the left overs.
B) Failed so infrequently that the few that they made have a bunch of left overs.
