I actually wouldn’t mind Brady and TB winning the SB, especially with Kraft and Belichick sitting out the off season and going 7-9 without him. What are the odds that at 43, you leave a team that you played for all of your pro career only to be replaced by Cam Newton, sign a two year deal for the “going rate” and take your team to the Super Bowl?

PS NE’s punter had more yards with his foot than Newton did with his arm...nice move Bill.

Right?!?!? Twenty years in the NFL, 10 trips to the Super Bowl, 6 victories (to date). Quite the chump!

No, but I did sleep in a Holiday Inn!

Seriously though, it doesn't take a genius to make these observations.

I typical Sunday you can catch what 3 games. If in two of those games you routinely see the QB being harrassed and knocked down repeatedly with no penalties and then you see a N.E. game and you see the flags fly everytime a defender sneezes on Tom Brady it's pretty obvious what is going on. That HAS been going on for years. Just my simple observations as a viewer. If you see if different cool!

Seriously though, if I truly cared enough I'd love to actually research this point myself. I totally stand by my observations over the years that he was protected. Just seen it too many times. Call that what you will. To me any "fact-checking" is another word for twisting things in the favor of my agenda. We see that all the time now. I trust any fact checking by anyone about as much as I trust the news media and politicians.

So all that said, trust me, I fact checked it. Brady is a chump!

So many huge games turn on a single play.

Yes NINE SB's and 6-3 record.

But c'mon, woodson forced a fumble. Tuck Rule goes the other way and Raiders are in the next 2-3 SB and Brady run delayed.

That said IMHO four of the SB he should have lost
- warner throws pick6 at end of half
- carney kickoff is OB
- pete calls an inside slant instead of Beast Mode
- ATL completely chokes a 28-3 lead starting with no blitz protection when everyone knows it is coming

That said IMHO The perfect season should have happened. They had eli, and tyree makes the helmet. insane

so he should be more like 3-6 instead of 6-3. but that is sport.

and for sure, at 43, he is still playing better than at least 1/2 of the other starters. what he did this year is nothing short of incredible.

I think the local Boston News Station poll had Patriots fans at 70% rooting for and 30% against TB12. I'm solidly in the 30%.

I'm not a fan of TB or the Patriots for that matter and I was soooo glad to see TB go and then replaced by Cam Newton. Since I'm a Panthers fan, it was good to see another team suffer the travails of Cam.

I think Bucs have a lot a talent, a decent defense and they got hot at the right time. These factors I think have more to do with the Bucs getting to the super bowl than TB. Those three pics he threw on Sunday were horrible throws but the guy is an awesome leader on the football field. I don't think there is any denying that.

Will I be jumping the the TB bandwagon? No way! Go KC!

He'll never overcome the stigma of the Tuck Rule. And he shouldn't. The rule wasn't his fault, the call wasn't his fault, but he was the biggest beneficiary of it, and it's his legacy.

Didn't the tuck rule only affect one game? One season at most?

All the other times Belichick cheated probably should count against him more

I don't disagree, but the tuck rule game was such a weird outlier. I know the rule was called in other games (and should have been a fumble every time) but Brady's edition was so much more visible. And it was the beginning of it all.

Did you catch the end of the game when TB went towards the stands? I assume security asked him what he was doing and you could just barely hear him say -"I want to see my son" ....ok TB -I take back all the things I ever said about you...

I was firmly in the 30% camp until this past week. But given some things said earlier in this thread, I’ve reconsidered and now want Brady to win #7. More than anything, I want to see Brady visit the Whitehouse and shake the hand of the President.

Maybe he'll invite Belichick along as his guest...
