It partly related to a previous thread I started on here about steel frame tubing and ride quality (https://forums.thepaceline.net/showthread.php?t=291470).

Admittedly, I haven't looked closely at the Jaegher specs, but the tubes look somewhat oversized to me, and with it being XCR, advertised as their race bike, and (supposedly) being tested by Tom Boonen, I had a gut feel it might be a rather firm ride. I could be wrong, but after this thread, I won't be finding out!

It might have been over on the former Velominati, back when they were a thing. Jaegher got popular over there until one of the bigger names on that site
*ordered a frame from them,
*was disappointed by quality of the work from the first try (visible gaps in welds),
*they offered a second try and it was just as bad but then
*they claimed that the customer's standards were too high and they weren't going to refund the purchase price.
