still not there

reinstalled spacer but chain still can't engage biggest cog. could have something to do with chainline going from Ultegra 11 to Eagle 12 and the crankset on my Creo.

I should day the original chainring was for 11 speed

If I'm running 1x 12 d and 12 cassette and 12 chain...would ring compatibility cause shifting issues?

I wouldn't think so and you've already confirmed chain length. Have you reset the rear derailleur? Is the derailleur fixing bolt screwed all the way in? Double check the hanger?

Potentially. You can measure your chainline and find out! OneUp has a good article on this here:

https://www.oneupcomponents.com/page...-and-non-boost

Presuming that you have a non-boost frame, the ideal chainline for 1x is 49mm.

If your crank is a direct mount, typically you will want an offset chainring to achieve 49mm. If you have a 104 BCD chainring, OneUp sells shims that you can use to bring the ring inward to the correct position.

This issue is on my Turbo Creo

with 142 rear spacing. I thought about spacers that would move chainring inward but I fear the clearance would be really minimal between ring and carbon seat tube. But maybe a couple mm would do the trick.

Also since it is my ebike I could run a smaller range cassette and one is coming in the mail. Wonder if a 44 large cog comparted to the 50 would also effect chainline and allow things to work smoothly.
