The Mao*Mart sticker on the first photo is a nice touch.

What an idiotic second sentence.

'Going strictly by the numbers, nothing Moots produces can compete performance-wise with modern carbon fiber.'

By what numbers, exactly? Weight is the only one I can think of that would be correct here, and to make a blanket statement that weight=performance is asinine, lowest-common-denominator-reader stuff.

Edit: reading this, I sound pretty grumpy. Sorry. The pics were really cool.

If it's an idiotic sentence the question which needs to be answered is, are Moots titanium frames superior in quantifiable areas of performance? Are they lighter than carbon, more aerodynamic, have greater stiffness to weight, more comfortable (microsuspension, isospeed, etc). In other words how do they measure up by the numbers and, in the end, as the writer states, who cares.

Thanks for sharing! Love my two; a 2006 Vamoots and a 2012 RSL (both purchased via the classifieds here!) ...

I toured the factory last year while wife and I went to Vail with some friends for a ski trip (I don't really ski, so I went out fat biking and took a side trip to Steamboat Springs instead). Really cool place, and really nice people who are passionate about what they do.

I have toured the shop twice while on vacation in CO. Both times everyone there was super friendly and passionate about cycling. I also love my 2016 Vamoots CR and am glad i chose to support such awesome people.

Quite a different factory ambiance compared to the photos we see posted of Legend by Bertoletti, but the same end product: great Ti bikes.
