Ha good eye! Yeah, when I pieced this build together, the etap hydro wasn't released yet, so I did a blipbox and dual blip workaround. I have a set up blips under the brake levers, and another set in the drops (love that position!).

I have since purchased the proper etap hydro levers, but I haven't had the time or motivation to install them...I really should get to that!

Btw, my fangled together system works very well - it is a little cluttered with the blipbox under the stem, but otherwise seamless.

Why haven't I thought of this before??? So I could setup my bike with a blip box and 2 or 4 blips for shifting, and then use something like the TRP Hylex for hydraulic braking? I think that could make a really cool and ergonomic setup. Where exactly did you mount the blips?

Oh, and when you get around to mounting your 'proper' setup, please sell the blips and blip box to me!

One set is on the hoods under the brake levers for easy one finger shifting and the other set is on the drops with a cutout around the blip. It’s so awesome having them on the drops like that hammering through the trails.

I’m thinking of moving this “system” over to another bike once I take them off. Super easy to setup too!

Here’s a pic that should show where the blips are:

Holy sh*t! That Ventana is off the charts. That must have taken a lot of thought in the planning/build process.
