NHaero,
Nitto M151 handlebar. These are what you are looking for in non Italian bars, however very classic appearing, tighter than Noodles, less expensive than M106, use on most of my bikes. Best choice of sizes, here is where to find them, lots of eBay sellers also: https://www.retro-gression.com/colle...151f-handlebar

That must be one of the very last 28/24 Record Strada (or Pave, can't tell from the photo) rim wheel sets surviving in captivity. Outstanding.

Is that a 1" threadless on that Lemond?

I second this suggestion. There are some great Nitto options too, but if you're not looking to break the bank this is a very solid match. My only complaint about the Sutro stem was the sizing offered is only 80 or 100 mm.

Yes. Previous owner was a machinist and decided he wanted a threadless fork. He reinforced the area of attachment, and I think it's at least as strong as a similar 1" carbon steerer... with a more friendly failure mode. I should mention... strong and burly sprinter-type I am not.

I replaced a Nitto B115 with the Sim Works Co-Misirlou. Very similar shape, but the slope to 10 speed hoods is a bit nicer.

Enviously building your bike in a virtual manner...note that the 174a has a bit of a setback like the Noodle, which might help you use a longer stem. From personal experience, the bars work well with Campag.

Some great options, some of which I was unaware of. I note that the Nitto M151 comes in M151 and M151F, where F apparently signifies flat ramps. Anyone know more about this? Aren't flat ramps what I'm looking for with modern integrated brake/shifters?
Thanks so much! |

Also note, the 174a is only available in 25.4. I am currently using it shimmed with a nitto ui-5gx. edit* just realized its a threaded steerer. Last edited by blindwilly; 04-01-2020 at 11:04 AM. |
