Retrogression in Portland informs me that despite different suffixes there is only one M151 shape, and it doesn't have flat ramps.

Hard to choose without seeing them all from the side and top! It does seem that with all of these if the ramps are level the bar tips will point downward. The bars I like the most are Whisky 6F, now available in silver, but they only have 31.8mm clamp diameter.

Deeper drop than you're probably looking for, but I have Nitto Pearl stems with Nitto 176 or 177 bars on most of my bikes with quill stems. All with Campy 10. Very smooth transition to the hoods, easy to source, and classic looking.

Alas, those bars have never worked well for me, and lord knows I wanted to love them! Had a lovely pair of the 'Soba' version too. Thank you.

Marc Sasso teaches me that oven cleaner removes the black finish on bike parts, which probably solves this for me. I have Origin8 Pro Fit Compact bars on three bikes and they work well for me - 70mm reach, 120mm drop, work well with Shimano brifters. But they are black. Given how little of a set of bars is visible when the bike is built, I might go for another pair of these and de-black the center section.

Pull the stem.

Pull the seat post.

Get a plastic Tupperware container they'll fit in.

Spray liberally with oven cleaner.

Wait till the anodizing sloughs off.

Polish both.

Remount.

Two cautions, make sure the oven cleaner contains sodium hydroxide/lye lots of oven cleaners don't. The Heavy Duty Easy Off productd does, however I don't believe the Fume Free Easy Off product contain sodium hydroxide/lye.

And most important be careful with the stuff it is caustic to tissue, eyes, respiratory system and hand protection mandatory. I am sure there are plenty of older women/men who used it on their ovens that were never the same! It does amaze me the stuff is still an over the counter purchase. If it was mostly men using it, would have been banned years ago.

Jestco anodize remover

I used this product from Jestco along with their buffing products on this 3T stem and bar. Ignore comments regarding clear coating you may see, mirror polished aluminum is very easy to keep shiny. I like Mothers Billet Metal polish for final hand polish. Perfect project for homebound cyclists!

Update - Soma Highway One bars and Sutro stem arrived yesterday. I didn't realize they are as shiny as they are (rather than the satin finish more commonly found, for example Cinelli stems). Shiny is good with this bike with the chrome on the frame and fork! Perhaps went a bit overboard with Cinelli red and white zebra tape

Way better fit with shorter stem, shorter reach bars, and easier pedaling with new 13-29 cassette. Short 21 mile test ride today, it's a keeper!
