I learned to drive in a 81 (I think?) diesel Dasher. 0-60 in well over 20 secs. 2nd gear up steep roads.

It handled quite well though and taught me how to drive. Learned to carry momentum and squeeze everything I could out of those Michelins. If my father only new what I did with and in that car... he probably does. Always returned it refueled and in one piece. Can't say my brothers did the same.
