Would you open this box?

IMG_20190109_165259629 by z937, on Flickr

Rims just arrived from Nextie. I have read somewhere what to do when packages look... less than promising, but can't remember where. This one looks crushed to me, as in, like, the impression of the rims are on the box Wile E. Coyote style.

What do you do in this situation? I signed for delivery. First mistake? Make a difference? What next?

Thanks in advance,
John

Take enough pix to show the condition of the sealed box in case you have to file a claim then open it. There may not be any damage.

I would take plenty of pics and open the box. If they are carbon rims they should be fine. If they are alum rims check them over and proceed to building.

Take pics of both sides from multiple angles.

Open box.

I bet the rims are fine.

As others have said, take multiple pics and then video tape the entire opening and inspection of the wheels.

"What's in the box?"

"Stay back, John Doe has the upper hand here."
