Lot of other sports on Peacock incl. Premier league (soccer) and 6 nations (rugby) - great BF deal

A few drawbacks to the Peacock deal:
1) Commercials and lots of them. You’ll have to pay $140 for the “limited commercial” package and those of you who were screwed last year will remember that still means commercials and lots of them.
2) The Peacock on-screen information format is atrocious, even by American standards.
3) Bobke.

All true!

The way I do it...

I watched replay.

No commercials.

Fast forward to the exciting parts or when the winning move was made.

I turned off the volume. I don't need any commentary, I know more about the sports than some of these jokers.

Me too! I don't understand the negativity towards Bob nor the hesitation for Peacock. I mean, you have the Tour, Vuelta, Paris-Roubaix, Paris-Nice, Amstel Gold, Paris-Tours, Dauphine, Catalunya, Down Under, etc. Otherwise you can to Tiz or a VPN to get Eurosport. No one's stopping ya.

I don't mind Bob, I can't stand Phil, but I also want to support cycling coverage in the US, so I'm a subscriber. $20 for year is a great deal, and for the majority of the races, they just use the international commentators anyway.

Admittedly, by the time the kids go to bed, I'm just looking to zone out to some mindless television before bed, but my wife and I have found some pretty decent content over the last couple years on Peacock.

It is annoying to me that in classic cable company playbook tactics they jack the prices for existing customers while offering deals to get new people in, but it's still easy enough to cancel for a week and get back in on the new deal.

In the grand scheme of what things cost these days, I think $20 for a year of Peacock content is easily justified.

I have had an account with Eurosport/Disco+ for more than 10 years.

Comment was meant for US/North American audience because, I believe still, we are blocked from Eurosport/Discovery+. The only way to get it in our area is to run it through a VPN that is located in the market that the service is available.

Anyhow, lucky you for living in an area that has robust cycling coverage.

I’ve picked up just a couple of BF deals: Voler liner bibs with their excellent pads, and Endless Cogs cog + spacers for my future single speed MTB phase. Endless is doing 20% off through the weekend with code WomenLed24. Kick-ass cogs from a kick-ass company and she’s got a lot on sale as a recovering business in western North Carolina.

I have a UK PayPal account that I created in 2014 using GCN’s Bath headquarters as the address. I have used that to pay for Eurosport and Disco+since (except for that brief period of GCN+ bliss).

And a VPN.
