Not really of the same pedigree but here was mine:
Traded some kid a front wheel for it back in the early fixie days, put thousands of miles on it fixed, brought it to a new city and put a few thousand more fixed commute miles. This was its last and best iteration but I had too many bikes. 32c front, 28c rear single speed porteur rack but it didn't handle front loads well. Still a total blast though. |

I'll play!
How about a Gentlemen's Poodle and Grouse Society Lemond. Information I have is that there were a handful of these made. I've got the full owner history. Once I swapped in some handbuilt clinchers this steel beauty still only weighs 18 lbs 7 ozs, ready to go with pedals and the bottle cage. |

I just don't get which weighing scale you pals had been using. None of my steel bikes come close to even dipping below 20, most are ranging in 20-22 Ibs. With the exception of one, even the carbon bikes hover around the 18-19 Ibs range.

Most of my other steel bikes are more in the range you say. I do have a 19 lb even 1987 Paramount but that has light wheels, a carbon fiber fork, handlebars, and seatpost. The De Rosa is under 20 but have a Chorus 11 speed groupset on it as does the Giordana XL Super that about 19 1/2. My 20 or so other steel bikes are more in the 20-23 lb range. That's always with the saddle, pedals, water bottle cages and sensors. I just don't count in the saddle bag, and frame pump that gets moved from bike to bike. My magical scale, LOL! |

Because Photobucket sucks and has orphaned all the previous images I've uploaded in this thread, I am re-contributing my two orange bikes:
