Weird small Wahoo Elemnt Roam problem
File this under annoying, in part because I can't figure out why or how to fix. I know it's tiny, but it kind of bugs me.
The up/down arrow next to the speed readout, which indicates whether you are going above or below your current average speed, does not match my actual current average speed--it's typically about 10 or 20% higher (so, not insignificant). Why would this be happening? One would expect that the average speed used to calculate when the arrow switches from up to down or vice versa would be the same as that actually given in the average speed box (which is correct when I divide distance by time). But it's clearly not. Can't find anything about this online. Thanks! |

I don't use that function, but I know other functions take into account how long you were messing around getting rolling after you started the Wahoo, and/or if you have "autopause" selected.
This could explain the difference between "Global Average" and "Immediate Average". Not to mention sampling rate, and hysteresis of exactly what moment you are measuring. |

This problem has only started a few weeks ago, and occurs regardless of how long I pause or not at all, or whether or not I wait a while after turning it on to start the ride.

I would try forcing an update from your "home-base" wifi. If you don't know how to do that, just ask me. |
