Anyone with insider knowledge at Specialized?

That might know if they have officially discontinued the Toupe saddle?

This happened once before a few years ago, and they were just in a short break before releasing a slightly cosmetically updated model, but the toupe has been gone from the Spec website for a while now.

Is my beloved saddle now on the endangered species list? Or are they going to make an update and release again?

Anyone know?

No idea, but this is why I buy them when I find them at a decent price....which isn't that often as we're not the only two with this preference!

I prefer the early models and I'm shocked at how much 15y/o saddles sell for when they pop up.

Let's hope they're just freshening the model and will bring it back!

They have some 155mm Troupe Expert Gel's left. All other Troupe's are sold out.

Amain has a few varieties of the 155 available (on clearance). The smaller sizes say they are discontinued online.

I just texted a guy on my team who is the regional Speccy rep: " Toupe is no longer in production. Closest thing now will be the Romin saddles."

I’ve been weaning myself off all things Specialized and the Toupe is my last dependency.

AMain is legit - they are what evolved out of performance and nashbar. I've ordered a few things from them as well as called. very pleasant. I appreciate the $1.99 flat ship on small stuff.

AMain bought the two websites. Neither had sold Specialized for two decades.

I've switched to the power saddle... better butt compatibility for me, it turned out... and will be putting up a Toupe 143 in good shape when I get around to it, fyi.

Pro Griffon is a fairly similar saddle, might be worth a shot.
