Brazen Dropouts Swap Meet Jan 23, 2023, Madison, WI

This is likely the biggest in the Midwest, and second only to Denver, in my opinion.
Last year, it was 9 degrees, light snow.
But not a big deal.

It's very big, it's very diverse.
Tables, booths, end units.
Old bikes, classic bikes, entry-level to high-end bikes.
Dealers, hobbyists, wrenches, gawkers, grazers.
They have food. I saw beer. And brats.
Starbucks is walking distance.
So is a hotel.

They unload your vehicle and take it to your space.
Leaving out, you are on your own.

The Bike Corral is large, and diverse.
Many bikes not in the corral are sold in booths.

There is a test ride area, indoors, in January, in Wisconsin.

There is the usual feeding frenzy between vendors.
There is active buying after the gates open.
Then a lull, then active buying before it shuts down.

It's pretty fun to be selling, as much fun to be buying.
Very hard to see everything in just a couple of hours.

I usually bring my 650C and smaller stuff to donate to the Brazen team.

The ATM nearby issues 1's, 5's, 10's, etc. You get to choose.

Decent.

Haven't been for a few years... but I really should be a vendor, not a buyer.

Certainly gives you something cycling related to look forward to in the frigid mid-winter.

'oliver1850' is a regular attendee. And he knows his stuff.

man, reading this post makes me sad that Denver wont have their big annual november bike swap. Maybe I should plan a midwinter trip to visit my Northern friends...

When I lived in Chicago, we made the frosty drive to Madison a few times for the meet. Always a great time.
