thanks. i found the writeup you did on your website. it's great to see a builder who matches aesthetic and craftsman brilliance with a willingness to embrace progressive geometry. do you have a pricepoint/range in mind for your built-to-order stock geo mtb frames?

The stock geo bikes are very much a work in progress still, so I do not have a firm pricepoint in mind entirely. It will be less than my custom Titanium bikesl... What would you expect it to be? Thanks for the kind words, Adam |

Very nice!
People get very weirded out by short stems on a dropbar bike. What was the thought process here? edit: cool. thanks for the info! Last edited by andeww; 02-15-2019 at 10:45 AM. |

Hey Thanks!
Pretty long stem by today's standards, the 70mm stem is a proper counterbalance to a higher trail number than this rider is used to. Trail is one lever, the stem is another. More trail = better handling off road, shorter stem = still "responsive" or quick steering action. Last edited by AdamSklar; 02-15-2019 at 07:30 AM. |

Beautiful bike, Adam.
Why do through axle rear ends on ti and steel bikes have that bolt mechanism? The only steel throughaxle bike I have had was a Chromag hardtail with modular dropouts where the TA threaded directly into. Just curious - as I assume that it is a necessity, but don't know the science behind it. |

Hiya, I use a lot of the Syntace dropouts. I like having replaceable threads on things and the low profile of these dropouts. Plus hangers and skewers are available from pretty much any parts distributor, which means customers can go to their local shop for parts if they ever have anything go wrong. Cheers. |

Those curves really grow on you. First time seeing a Sklar I thought the top tube just looked too weird.

Beautiful. I'm not usually a fan of tapered head tubes, but this flows nicely into the curved top tube. And the paint job ties the shapes together. Really well done. Tell Phil to call me if he ever tires of it.

Anyone know what seatpost clamp is on that bike above?
