Toad Strangler

Anybody here going to give this a shot? 40 miles in April on some great dirt roads in NYS. Should be interesting given the time of year!

I swore off April events in this area after couple of really cold wet Farmers Daughters.

I signed up with a couple of my ADK Velo club members. I figure the Cutthroat will get put to the test of the Toad Strangler.

The terrain there is great.
I'll wait until a couple of days before and sign up if the weather looks decent.

I do it. It’s a good ride. We stayed dry last year, although the sky opened up after we got back to Crellin Park so it was a pretty quick exit afterwards.

I will be photographing it . . .

. . . most likely working from my car unless Andy can get me a moto and driver. Same for the Farmer's Daughter. Also Great North if my schedule allows. It's always a gamble with the weather this early in the season. But at least for the Toad and Farmer's, sign up and know that if you don't ride, the major portion of the fee still goes to support CBRC's cycling youth programs and you invariably get some cool shwag.

Here's my pics from last season . . .

Well you can all thank me.
With my forecast of cold wet weather and refusal to sign up it looks like a warm beautiful sunny day with dry roads is on tap.
I've put myself on their wait list.
Does anyone have a registration they can't use and would sell?

Thanks.

I’m there. B2G2 the following weekend, followed by Raputistsa, then The Great North, then Farmer’s Daughter.

Great ride, beautiful day.
40 miles was just right for this early in the season.

Any pictures to share yet Dave?
