If you cannot have a disc-braked steel Serotta...

... what builder do you go to?

Based on a 1-minute survey, Gunnar, Rodriguez, and maybe Seven have nice offerings which may be configured with disc mounts and disc-compatible forks.

Discuss... but not the disc part.

No. 22's ti fabrication is (or at least once was) done by former Serotta builders.

EDIT: oh, you said steel. Well, either way.

Marinoni: http://www.marinoni.qc.ca/html/sportivo-db_en.html

and

Bob Jackson: http://www.bobjacksoncycles.co.uk/pr...audax-end-end/

Are two boutique-ish builders with plenty of experience in steel who will build a disc-ready frame. And both are quite reasonable in price.

For the US, I'd probably go with AR Cycles out of Sacramento; Gunnar, Rodriguez, Waterford, IF, or Seven depending on my budget.

If cost is no option, Kirk or Strong.

Lots of former Serotta employees can build you one. Dave Kirk, Dave Wages, Kelly Bedford...

My top choices for a disc steel bike would be Kirk, Wages or Mosaic.

Good suggestions already.

Zanconato, Breadwinner, and Stinner come to mind.

Another major criteria for any of the above, wait time? Need it next month, next year or longer (heard on NBC Boston interview with Firefly, they are 18 mos out, not sure if this accurate but sounds like it)
