OT: Facebook is now filtering replies

I'm an occasional user of Facebook, and saw this for the first time today where Facebook is filtering out individual replies. I'm fully aware that they control what is in your "feed", but now they are preventing you from seeing what others have said

Your high level feed has not been chronological in Facebook on Instagram for awhile now. No surprise this would extend to comments.

Yeah, I know they fully control what you see in your feed. But it's ridiculous that they are completely blocking you from seeing someone's reply. I couldn't find any way to show the comments that were filtered.

Usually when it tells you that things have been filtered out, it is just someone tagging someone else with no comment. This is what I have found when I went through the contortions required to see all comments. I have never seen anything else. In fact, it says this when there are no other replies.

This has been going on for quite some time and I agree it's a bit annoying. What I really hate is when they tell you one of your friends commented on something, but when you click on the notification it doesn't show you what the friend said.

I assume you are referring to the "Most Relevant is selected, so some replies may have been filtered out." statement?
If so, don't you have a drop down at the beginning of the thread where you can change "Most Relevant" to either "Newest" or "All Comments"?

I know what you are referring to, and I'm familiar with this option. However, I see now that it says "Most Relevant is selected", but I don't recall seeing that option for this one. Of course, now I can't go back and find it again.

Yes this exactly, you should be able to see them all. This is really a positive feature a lot of the time, given the volume of comments on posts it would be difficult to read without some type of sorting.

Edit: you posted at same time as I did that you were aware, sorry!

It's no coincidence that Zod and Zuckerberg both begin with the same letter.

Back when I was on FB I could select Most Relevant or Newest, but it wasn't in a drop-down, it was in settings IIRC and sometimes it would revert back to Most Relevant on its own. I used FB Lite, not the full app, so that may have had something to do with it.
Left FB quite a while ago and have not regretted it. So many more worthwhile things to occupy my time and thoughts.

Facebook has gotten progressively worse lately (pun intended )

Early on I used to have 1000+ friends that included old co-workers old sports teammates, or old friends from grade school and high school and would post 2 to 3 times a week.

Now it's strictly family and "close" friends, car groups, and Stevebay and haven't posted in months.

If it weren't for Stevebay and the car groups I'd have no problems shutting it down.

I'm with you. I only use this for a few select things such as communicating with our local cycling community. I also find that I rarely post anymore.
