Now my daily wardrobe choices consist of:
  • running shorts
  • running tights
  • nice track pants
  • stained, raggy cotton sweatpants (I keep trying to throw these out, along with a really raggedty sweatshirt, but they're perfect for *working* around the house.)

Lululemon makes nice stuff.....I have a couple pairs.

I do miss the old Pearl Izumi Tokyo tights though....from the early '90's

+1 for reigning champ and also their sister company Wings + Horns will have some that may be less “gym-like”. Their Mid weight is great, and their tiger fleece is luxurious and warm if you need that. I have their robe made out of the material that makes me look forward to cold winter mornings.

My daughter managed a Lululemon store 10 years ago. I bought five pair of their loose yoga pants that have worn very well over the years. Part of my daily uniform during the winter months. Mine have ankle length zippers at the bottom and a zipper key pocket in the rear. Love them.

prAna Gravity pants ticks the boxes for me. Tapered, ankle zips, stretchy and without fleece inner. Warm enough for varied uses. I'm pretty sure they're discontinued but can still find them at REI Coop and a few other places. Amazon price is out of control.

My favorite are some icebreaker merino wool joggers I got years ago. Wear them every day in the winter inside.

American Giant

I love there sweats. Not inexpensive but worth the money. I have a pair of classic sweats and open bottom ones.

yikes, truth to this thread.

it's amazing how my wardrobe has fallen apart. I used to travel a lot, but when i was home in NYC land, i'd be in the city most days of the week and in a full suit at least a handful of times/month for client meetings, with the rest of the days at the more business end of business casual.

now a days i look at my closet full of formal attire and shoes and just laugh as i slip on my old track pants and birkenstocks. the real world is slipping further and further from memory as the months go on.

wow, whatever happened to getting Champion or Russell Athletic 100% cotton sweats for $19.99...?

no way I'm dropping $100+ on some of the stuff recommended.

It’s nice to have options. Mine cost 150 and I’ve had them for over ten years and they look the same the day I got them. Merino wool is sooo much nicer than cheap, crappy cotton that pills over time.
