Super lightweight jersey
I'm looking for a very lightweight short sleeve jersey for hot weather rides. What do people like?
Ideally full zipper and non-flashy graphics. |

I wear Rapha super lightweights from April to October.
A little pricey but totally worth it to me. |

Assos S7, or Q36.5. Fit for me is far better on the Assos, no excess material flap at the traps.

Castelli also makes one.

I asked the same question a week or two ago, anticipating the Texas heat index will rise as we head more into the summer.
I found this link: http://road.cc/content/buyers-guide/...4-plus-14-best As always, for any recommendations, take it with a grain of salt. But what is interesting on that review is most of the brands/makers I have not heard of before...not that I am knowledgeable in this realm to begin with. And, yeah, it's UK-based. |

As others have said:
1) Q36.5 2) Assos Mangusta 3) Castelli climbers jersey 4) Sugoi climbers jersey Fit wise, Q36.5 is perfect (if you like a very race fit). I like it a lot! so much so that I do not care that the jersey enhances my essence -- my fatness! But I do find the castelli to be a bit more cooling than the Q36.5. |

Interesting list. I can tell you that I would not consider the Rapha Core jersey for the summer (I live in NM). I would consider it an excellent spring/fall jersey.

Assos Mangusta with an Assos undershirt.
Quite comfortable in 80-90 range (for me anyway). |

Went to a local bike shop and tried on Black Sheep Cycling apparel which is by far the most lightweight jerseys I've tried. Also, they're hecka snazzy.

I have a PI climbers jersey and its super light and ventilated. Really nice. Castelli makes a similar one and also super lightweight. But the PI is a bargain as its available at in the REI outlet for $48.

Castelli Superleggera jersey.
Also, on hot days I like to simply wear a very light base layer such as the Capo Torino 3D. There are many others. I just put all my junk in my seat bag. |
