Thanks to your positive responses and I decided to purchase either the Bora 35 ultras or ones clinchers. My question is what size tires are you running? I was thinking 25’s but also thinking 28’s. Any opinions?

I run 25's on my older (narrower) Bora Ultra 2. I think 28's would be fine on these as well as the newer Bora Ultra 2. I have a friend who runs 38's on his bora ones.

Bora Ultra 50 tubs and run a 25m Veloflex. Not sure I would want to go 28. Not saying you can't but I would think they would loose that liveliness.

I might have been jumping the gun on that response as I have not rode 28mm, just don't think they would yield any benefit. 3mm is a a lot. Am I wrong? 22mm to 25mm for instance?

Bora One's with Vittoria Corsa 25’s was the sweetest riding combination IMO on the Gaulzetti.

I don't know. I just never really felt a wheel loose anything going from 25mm to 28mm, it adds comfort, looses nothing. IMO of course.

Never been on boras though

This thread is weird .)

No mentioning of rider weight or rider terrain?
And are boras any different than any other rim out there in terms of what width tire to put on it? I have had a set or 2, they are just ordinary bicycle rims who will be affected by rider preference, weight and intended usage. Horses for courses..

Weight 145 lbs. Will ride decent roads and some climbing but not a ton of climbing.

Conti 4KS 23 that measures 25 on the wider Bora rims. It fits just right and any wider and you will need more watts at 22+mph.
