Starling Murmur Stainless Steel

Finished building up the bike and about to head out on its maiden voyage. It's wet and gloomy today so the bike should feel right at home.

Was a little worried the orange bits would be a bit too much but I think it turned out pretty good. Trying a few new things for me on this bike - coil shock (Cane Creek with a Valt progressive coil) and a Cane Creek Helm fork.

OMG. You win pace line today. :chefs kiss:

Did you get this from the sale they were doing?

I've heard great things about that shock and I'm curious how it handles the linear progression of a single-pivot suspension.

Great bike. Good amount of orange, and you can change that later anyway. Also interested to hear how that coil shock pedals.

Beautiful bike! I haven't ridden a MTB in years, but have been a big fan of Joe's work since seeing episode 1 of The Builders on GCN+.

I've gotten a few rides on the bike so far. Coil shock has such a different feel after only riding air shock for so long. The rear wheel feels very planted to the ground, especially on choppy terrain.

Climbing feels really good. I'm coming from an Esker Elkat that had 75.9ยบ seat tube angle to 77 on the Murmur. I can feel that I'm more above the bb. I've been playing around with leaving the coil open vs using climbing mode. There's some slight bob when it's open, but not enough to feel like it's slowing me down. I'm not racing up the mountain so it's not a concern for how I'm riding.

As long as the weather behaves, I'm taking it to the bike park tomorrow. Will be a good test of the suspension
