#14 for Katie Compton? (Spoilers)

Let's go, KFC. This should be a good race.

can't see why not. KK is going well, but KFC is still going better. I think it's hers to lose.

KFC's awesome, but I'd love to see Noble take it. if only to see her smile.

if you don't know what I'm talking about, watch 2017 U23 worlds and Ellen crossing the finish line. her joy in getting silver is just incredible.

that said, it's not going to be easy. and there's a strong case that this may well be KFC's year to go for gold at worlds.

Not to mention the amount of work she is putting into promoting women's racing! While Compton is a brilliant racer, I would like to see Ellen win just as I think she truly is the person I would want repping my country and brand. She gives back more than she takes and that speaks volumes to me.

No disrespect to any other US racer, I just dig Ellen.

Agreed--It would be awesome to watch Noble take the champ. She's great, and she shows all heart, which is more than fun to watch. I do think Compton's the one to beat, but I feel like one thing about this race, besides it being a good one, is that it's a win-win proposition. If KFC wins, we get to see her take #14, and if another like Noble takes it, we get to see that too.

Her 3rd at the Waterloo World Cup was about the same. Sheer joy.

Katie is a warrior. She's got something the rest don't, and I hope to see her win.

Noble's time will come for sure but I don't know if it's this year yet. Compton can be an up or down racer but basically always manages to put it together for the National Championships, and without conditions that can add a major variable - like last year - I have a hard time seeing her lose. One thing's for sure - it will be a good race.

Pulling for Noble. Great attitude, potential to be a huge ambassador for the sport. I constantly point out her and Mikaela Shiffrin as role models/examples of hard work & perseverance to my daughter.

I'm rooting for ABC....Anyone But Compton. I've never been a fan, I can't give an exact reason but she just rubs me the wrong way.

^Nice, thanks. I'm glad those are Pacific time--I should be able to make it close to start time.

Looks like a nice day for a race in Reno--high of 56f and some sun it looks like.

Women’s race was the KFC show even with “asthma issues”

The Men’s race was excellent. Good to see JPow back in form. Hyde was an assasin to earn #2

Katie runs my buddy's chainrings. I've got an early set of them in 53/34 on my Tourmelet. Without doubt the best shifting chainrings I own.

Close ups of the Wickwerks chainrings:
