I fell for the AB marketing once, buying a fancy-looking set of chainrings for my bike. It was a terrible product. Chainring bolts quickly came loose and damaged my bike, and the design more or less guaranteed that any dropped chain meant having it wedge up against the bottom bracket. Truly terrible engineering. |

Interesting that Zero Friction is dipping its toe's re bearings. There is something about Zero Frictions chain testing protocols that bugs me.....I need to talk to an expert in this very niche business. Others in the chain efficiency "biz" also made some interesting comments that raised eyebrows. Anyhow, indeed, grab some popcorn. |

On the other hand, this isn't the first time that Hambini has been involved in something like this: Hambini claimed that he received a threatening cease-and-desist letter from Flo Cycling regarding some of his criticisms. But Flo Cycling claims that neither they nor anyone associated with them sent any such letter. Here's Flo Cycling's side of the story: https://blog.flocycling.com/news/flo...i-accusations/ |

Considering he's had the police called on him previously for online harassment of a journalist including doxing them, it's hard to feel too much sympathy for when it comes back at him.
Two wrongs don't make a right though. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out and how anonymous the domain registrant truly is. |

When I first read the thread I was on Hambini’s side and actually felt bad for him. Then I looked into some of the stories that others linked to. My opinion has done a 180. I think he’s looking for clicks anyway he can.

There's no doubt about what he did to the female journalist, it was all posted on his public accounts. I am somewhat of a cynic about the bike industry, so a lot of his stuff doesn't really interest me. There are a lot of other people on youtube that show that expensive carbon bikes are often built poorly, you could spend your life watching them.

Didn’t he just point to a public strava road profile for that GCN person? It is kinda dirty but at the same time public info is public info. Don’t share things on the internet unless you don’t mind the whole world knowing. As far as the alleged lawsuits, well, seems like a he said she said at this point.

I posted in this thread already... but like all this stuff is so incredibly childish and stupid.
I guess some folks really do believe that no publicity is bad publicity... |

Ha! That’s me. I’m trying to figure out WT* is going on here. Obviously some kind of outrageously slanderous gossip about some people I’ve never even heard of.

- if the website was created by a company or person in an attempt to discredit and cancel Hambini and the info is wrong- I hope the creators are exposed and lit up for the lies and crap they created.
- if the website was created by a company or person to discredit or cancel Hambini and the info is accurate- I hope Hambini gets knocked down some pegs and is forced out of the common discussion. He will always have a small group of loyal followers regardless of what he does or doesn't do, but hopefully his reach gets reduced. - if the website was created by Hambini to generate views and clicks, I hope his reach is reduced and his voice is not promoted. Regardless of which of the 3 scenarios above is true, I genuinely hope the guilty party gets lit the F up by press and the industry. |
