Grab your popcorn...Hambini vs AbsoluteBlack...again
Not sure if anyone else has seen this, but I'll just leave this video here because I'm sure it's going to generate some dialogue, lol:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGoj...hannel=Hambini And here is the website where the Hambini spy shots and other claims made against him are currently being hosted under the guise of a "parody fan page": www.hambini.cc I'm not sure if I'm 100% convinced that AbsoluteBlack is the actual culprit here, but if they are then I really really don't like the idea of a company going to these lengths to try and smear the reputation of someone who is critical of their products. The fact that AbsoluteBlack is not denying their involvement with this and is instead taking the route of blocking anyone who brings up the subject with them isn't a great look either, imo. Regardless of your personal views/opinions on Hambini, it's a pretty shady move for anyone to stalk an individual on their way to work and it's an even more stupid move to go and upload your spy shots of that person to a site for everyone to see. Thoughts? |

As someone who has been through the experience of being false accoused of an indictable offence, this kind of behaviour is extreamly damaging and I would wish it on no one.
People some times wonder why I have so many bikes, getting harder and harder to get away from it all. I have also had a minimal interaction with AbsoluteBlack and it was disturbing.

I really just don’t understand people. People plus the internet is even more confusing (including myself in this). That weird revenge website is a little disturbing and whoever spent their time making it and following him around needs some help and if it ends up being associated with another cycling brand, well, not on my bicycles.

Ignoring everything else, am I the only one that's jealous of that bike locker?
He seems pretty knowledgeable about bearings. Other than that I always wondered what an aerodynamics engineer would have to do with bearings. |

I watched the video this morning and honestly I don't know what to make of it. I am very skeptical that a known company would go thru the trouble to take photos and the time to make this. Are the photos of him approaching the refinery photoshopped? He has been around posting on You Tube for years now so I would imagine he is probably well known where he lives so random photos of him being taken wouldn't surprise me. Not to mention how old these photos of him are?
Just seems bizarre. The website clearly states that it is a parody/sarcasm. As much as he goes off and criticizes other bike companies he should not be so offended when someone gives him a dose of his own medicine. |

And I guarantee the only reason the site states it’s a parody/sarcasm site is a half-a**ed attempt at claiming parody law in the event that the creators of the site are sued, although I don’t think anyone in their right mind would consider stalking someone on their way to work “parody”. Just my opinion of course. Last edited by hoj; 09-15-2023 at 10:11 PM. |

Like... the claim that he supports Russia because it shows up as a place he ships to? Double you tee eff? Also, he's made himself a public figure and I think it's fair game to challenge his credentials and see if he actually did all the things he claims to have but this is taken pretty far, especially posting pictures of him going to work and with his wife. That site is pretty wild and it's almost creepy that a person or persons went through all that trouble to do it. The fun thing about sites is they can be traced. I wonder how that's going to turn out... |

So....how is it a good idea to link and share this here if it's so bad?
Most here would probably know nothing of it until it was shared here? I don't get it? |

If it does, in fact, turn out to be a cycling company that created this website as a way to try and discredit (or worse) a critic, then I think it’s totally appropriate for the cycling community at large to be informed about the situation. |

My money says this is all a fabrication by he-who-shall-not-be-named.
