Winter Socks....any favorites?

Looking to bolster my winter sock assortment, anyone have favorites out there? I have had some Chrome Industries merino socks for a few years and I just wore through the toes, but I liked the medium weight.

I use regular merino wool men’s socks. I prefer the Smartwool brand, and I buy them at EMS. I wear them every day as regular socks with dress, work or casual shoes. They are comfortable, last a long time as long as my dogs don’t play tug-of-war with them, and are relatively thin and fit well under a cycling shoe. I wear PI toe warmers until it’s under 40 degrees, and booties when it’s colder. My feet stay plenty warm.

woolie boolies and the rapha deep winter socks. Both equally nice.

However, after getting winter shoes, I almost never need winter socks.

Another vote for DarnTough. I use to like Smartwool but their quality seems to have slipped in the past few years.

I don't see Blaze on their site, they must have discontinued. Which do you think is warmer, Thermeator or Woolies?

The Raphas look super long, do they really come all the way up to your knees?

I have Boure wool socks and like them a lot. Woolie Boolies work very well too. REI's own brand wool socks do pretty well. But the Boure with their rather dense weave makes it a very good winter sock.

Wow, forgot about Boure. Didn't even know they were still around, actually! Thanks!
