No worries - it's been sitting in my parts bin since I sold my SSEvo HM 1.5y ago. Not gonna lie, any BB you put in there will add weight, but it's a tradeoff between shifting quality/matching groupset parts and weight: nothing will be as light as that Hollowgram setup except for something really exotic, like a THM.

I don't think that you can just change rings on it. I thought they had to be replaced with the SI Spider?

It's a splined interface, so you can get a 110BCD spider to replace the OPI rings.

Damn, great buy! Have always liked that specific color.

You got the best color scheme Cannondale ever made, in my purplicious opinion. If you ever decide to flip that sucker, please keep me in mind. I really disliked the ride of the current SS Evo, but would be keen to try a 2016 model, especially in colors that’d make me smile and give me a mood/energy every time I look down and while riding see em.

I concur! And that frame can easily take 30 mm tires. I think you're going to love the speed, agility, and flickability of the bike.
Looking forward tot he review. BTW, keep the SI crankset. Quote:

I have to admit the cobalt blue was a selling point
My CAAD10 was just black and white, so inoffensive. Some of the white black and green Cannondales just don't hold appeal for me, and I do like to look at the bikes as well as ride 'em.

Which year bikes cleared those bigger tires? Seriously I gotta know lol. |

Are you sure about that? The frame stays might have clearance for 30mm tires, but what rim brake calipers will allow for a true 30mm tire to be installed? I thought most rim brake calipers generally max out at around 28mm...

they cleared 28 mm tires measuring 29.4 mm and still had 3 or 4 mm clearance, if I remeber correctly from my bike from years ago.
these were the 2016 to 2018 SS evo himod. |
