The first band I saw live, with a ticket I purchased myself.

I'm glad I've listened to his music for so long. I'm overdue to read his other works.

Wow, I just pulled out Chronicles last week and was listening to and enoying it. Now I'm going to have to spin up so other RUSH discs I have from back in the day and listen. RIP Mr. Peart.

Yep.
Hmm, I'm thinking easily top three of all drummers, ever.
It was heart breaking to hear he wasn't going to tour anymore because of tendon pain. This is worse.

Just watched THIS and it was through my Yamaha receiver attached to some polk speakers. To listen to this on laptop speakers or Apple pods is a sin.

Was never a huge RUSH fan, but whenever anyone asked about Neil it's simple "he's your favorite drummers drummer."

Sad indeed. Only 67.

Damn......my youngest son just told me.

A huge fan of Rush, and saddened by the news, I hope he's at peace. Prayers for his family.

as a former musician i never liked when drummers overplayed yet with all of neil's percussion stuff around him, and of what i heard of Rush, i never thought he overplayed on the songs
