Article about Andy Pruitt
See link to article in Bicycling. Worth a read. I have a lot of respect for him.
https://www.bicycling.com/health-nut...m-specialized/ I especially liked the last section copied in below: What are too many cyclists still doing wrong despite your decades of advice? Being uncomfortable! You see it on any given group ride. Enjoy |

terrific article thanks for posting that.Andy Priutt is really an inspiration and one of the nicest people you will ever meet!.I had the pleasure of spending a few hours with him and his staff around 95' or 96' when i drove up to Denver to get a bunch of test and xrays done at his clinic for some chronic knee and leg muscle problems that I was having and he was very helpful in getting me on the right path of being a healthy and strong cyclist for life.

A few years ago, a couple friends and I stopped at a bakery in Petaluma during a brevet. One of the customers sitting outside started chatting with us, turned out he was Andy Pruitt. I just remember he bad-mouthed our leather saddles, calling them a primitive solution!

I have always appreciated Pruitt and his opinions. However I don't know anything about his comments regarding leather saddles. However I do know that the Selle Anatomica has totally changed my riding for the good....overnight. That happened four years ago. Still rather dorky looking and heavy, but waaaaay comfy for me. YMMV.

Knwn Andy for a long time, very knowledgable and a true gentleman. Ran into him and Sue(and Mark Bekof-leading US expert on Wolves) after the Vecchio's Xmas party. I wonder if he misses doing what he did. I know he has helped a LOT of people, from pros to the guy on the street, riding a bike.
He helped me immensely after I got back onna bike after getting nailed by a pickup truck. He looked at me for about 10 minutes on the bike...added a lift and wedge to by right foot.. First ride, I could barely walk after..called him, 'ride one more day' and that ride , it was like a light switch turned on...no pain. Still have the lift/wedges in my RH shoe 17 years later.. Great guy...He can still kick my butt on a bike.
