Good to see some movement. I signed up for email and never heard anything back. They should be sending emails about this update IMO
You receive email or just check the site? I check periodically but not in some time. Thanks I hope they come back better than ever and produce some more modern fabrics that have better longevity than in the past. |

That is great to hear.
FWIW, I've always thought their Shak stuff held up well, especially compared to other merino wool sweaters I've had, and an ice breaker one that I got recently since Ibex is (was) gone.

More wool is better than less wool. Good to hear.

Woo-hoo! I love this brand and their clothes—well, most of them. Psyched that they might be coming back. The clothes moths are driving me nuts this year.

I'll jump on board and also say that it's very good news. I love wool, and have tried many brands...but my favorite has always been Ibex.

I'd buy another pair if they make them again but hope they just use a regular chamois not that scratchy grey wool thing they tried in the past.

I swear my Ibex knickers don't have a wool chamois, its either a red or yellow one, maybe older? I love them too.
I'd love for their bike stuff to fit a bit better. I have an XL MTB shirt that is so big I finally put it in the dryer, and it is still too big. But their mid weight long sleeved T (Woolies2?) are a staple from fall until spring. I bought a lifetime supply (6?) when they announced they were closing. I'm very hopeful and optimistic about the company's return.

This really is good news. I was so disappointed they went out to business/on hiatus. Every piece I bought was finely made, fit well, and lasted. When they went out of business the only merino base layers I could find were far too baggy, which defeats much of the benefit.

We have to hope they come back with the same quality product they had before. |

FWIW I know a former executive from IBEX.
Long story short, IBEX never made money. They made the decision to bring in Vulture Capital to try to get over the hump. The VCs brought the money in exchange for 51% of the company. VCs promptly told the founders they were no longer needed to run the company and...surprise! they went out of business shortly there after. So, the new IBEX is not the old IBEX. Buyer beware. The founders of IBEX have been trying to start it up again under the name of Twizel, inc. named for one of the little towns in NZ where they sourced wool. I think this is them, the originals. https://www.prweb.com/releases/2016/...eb13650980.htm |
